I am currently Interim Dean of the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT. As Dean, I’m working on a professional mission of mine to use higher education creatively to reach more students, engage more stakeholders, and positively impact more communities.
I’m also working on a personal mission to share impactful stories about the past, present, and future of business in the rural American West (as part of the Rural Towns Project).
A little about me:
I grew up in rural SE Idaho. I am very proud of my roots and return home as often as I can. I have a Dual BA in History and Finance from Utah State University. I did a lot of different jobs as an undergraduate in Cache Valley. After graduating I worked for a small start-up Internet Service Provider in Utah and then worked for several years in acquisitions for the U.S. Dept. of Defense (Air Force) in the Boston area. I earned an MBA and PhD in Business Administration from Bentley University in Waltham, MA. I started my academic career at California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, CA.
